DDPYoga – Day 1 & 2

I’ll probably update a couple days at a time because I’m super busy at work and I have to find time for DDPYoga.

So on Saturday I start work at 5am and finish at 11am and do a fairly physical job with a lot of lifting and moving so I normally crash after work, but not this time. When I got home I saw a USPS package waiting as I entered my house so I knew my DDPYoga had come. After an hour or so I decided it was time to try it. I was going to put it off for a couple days due to work but I knew if I didn’t start now I’d just keep putting it off. So I did the breathing exercise since it is the first option on the DVD, followed by the “Diamond Dozen” which is the core 13 “moves” that DDP uses. After I finished those 2 I was fairly tired, but not in a bad way, so I chose the third option which is the first true workout called “Energy”. I really enjoyed it and I felt good afterwards, other than DDPYoga coming Saturday was rather uneventful.

I woke up on Sunday at 4am, half an hour before my alarm was set for, with some pain. Don’t get me wrong I always feel some sort of pain when waking up but it wasn’t my normal pain of my ankle/foot hurting or my back hurting, it was my muscles aching like I had just worked out. I went to work for 6am until 9.45am, I know the timings are a bit weird but that’s half a day at my job and did more manual labour and had a laugh with work friends about me doing yoga but I’m determined to prove them wrong and lose weight. I’ve just done the “Fat Burner” workout and I have one workout left on DVD 1 but I have 4 other DVDs so I’m spoiled for choice. I am going to give it a miss tomorrow because I will be up watching the SuperBowl and to give my body a chance to recover. My work pattern is a bit hectic until Thursday when I will have my first day off in a week and a half, so I will do it on Tuesday and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
